About Ekalavya Shikshan Sanstha

Ekalavya Shikshan Sanstha was established by the great freedom fighter Late Shri. Madhavrao Nirali in the year 1945. It was the era to support and protect the fighters from the British rule and to awaken the rural people for their development. Our founder has knocked doors of the backward classes from Pathardi block to accept education to their children as need of the time to come. The poor people of the villages came forward to help this honest worker and our Sanstha has taken birth by way of poor boys hostel name as Hind Vasatigruha at Pathardi, the hilly and drought area of Ahmednagar Dist. in 1945.

Apart from the eight Middle schools and D.Ed. College at various remote centers of Pathardi, Sanstha's one branch has reached Pune, the mother city of Education in 1989-90, where our Polytechnic was functioning. After sudden demise of founder personality, Late Shri. Nirali Appa, our seating Chairman was Late Shri. Babanrao Dhakane, who was also student of the same boarding and high school of our own sanstha has successfully and effectively brought this sanstha as one of the model educational institute in present competition with his long 40 years' experience in Social, Political, Educational and Industrial sectors. Now, Adv. Shri. Prataprao Dhakane has taken charge of the organization as Chairman, who aims to provide education to marginalized communities and has been instrumental in promoting education in the Pathardi region and beyond.
